Well known in Taiwan as a manufacturer of precision injection molding machines, Fu Chun Shin (FCS) has successfully developed a 1000-ton clamping force, two-component injection molding machine (FB-1000R), suitable for producing multi-colored vehicle light covers. FCS has received orders for this machine from a large Taiwan transport equipment factory and the refrigerator producers.
In the past, most two-component injection molding machines in Taiwan are mostly under 500-ton clamping force, normally suitable for producing smaller dual-color products. Larger sized dual-color products were produced using multi-stage assembly or by imported machines. However, imported machines are expensive, difficult to obtain maintenance services, and not able to cater to specialized needs.
However, nowadays, specialized machines such as large-tonnage and two-component ones produced by Taiwanese injection molding machine manufacturers have achieved maturity; technical sophistication and secondary processes quality have reach international levels. Coupled with the ability to custom develop machines to match customersˇ needs, this is indeed good news for the plastics industry.
FCS has conducted research into multi-component injection molding machines for many years, and has accumulated much experience and technology in this arena. In Taiwan, FCS has a sizeable slice of the two-component injection molding machinery market. The newly developed FB-1250R two-component machine by FCS has a clamping force of 1,250 tons, and a rotary table diameter of 1,800mm. This is currently one of the largest Taiwan-produced two-component machines. Actually, only a few factories in the world are capable of producing such machines that have 1,000-ton or higher clamping force. The FB-1250R uses FCSˇ newly developed micro-controller, and is matched with the precise hydraulic system. This allows the machine to be extremely stable and precise. In addition, the rotary table does not come into contact with the mold during operation, thus reducing the possibility of production malfunctions caused by fiction. The position of the mold is also accurately set just before mold-close. This is a unique FCS design to protect the mold.
The customer expressed great satisfaction with the product quality after testing with different molds, and feels that the capability of the FCS two-component machines is as good as those imported from Europe or Japan. This is indeed an affirmation of the development capability and product quality of FCS. |
